Vehicle Description CPR Classic is excited to offer this enchanting 1965 Porsche 356C Coupe finished in Irish Green over a fawn leather interior.
A completely numbers-matching example, this 356C retains its original engine, gearbox, and color combination.
Assembly was completed at the factory on December 15th, 1964, and the car was originally a European delivery.
The car was purchased new by a US Military service member while stationed in Europe.
The original owner used the car in Europe for several years before returning to Southern California with the vehicle in the late 1960s.
It remained with him for the next 40
years before being sold to its second and most recent owner, another Southern California-based resident.
Over the last eight years, an immense amount of preparation work was performed to elevate the car to the level it presents in today.
In 2015, new Koni shocks were installed on the car at all corners, as well as a new correct European spec exhaust system.
In 2017, a complete exterior repaint was done by European Collectibles of Costa Mesa, California.
Recent mechanical services and repairs have been performed by Jack Staggs in San Clemente.
Several months ago, the original Zenith Carburetors were overhauled by a specialist in Palm Springs.
The tub is very dry with no signs of corrosion.
The body is arrow straight with superb gaps that are all in factory specification.
The quality of the repaint is first-class.
The interior is in beautiful condition with properly padded seats and a lovely Nardi-style wooden steering wheel with a Porsche crest horn button that completes the aesthetic.
The original Blaupunkt radio remains in the car and was recently overhauled.
This 356C presents beautifully from a cosmetic standpoint and drives even better.
The car starts effortlessly, whether hot or cold and makes excellent power.
The 4-speed gearbox shifts with ease, and the engine pulls through the range without hesitation.
The chassis is set up perfectly with a confident turn-in and proper weight transfer providing the user with a very confident drive.
In addition, the disc brakes do an excellent job of giving stopping power with a great pedal feel.
The 356C cars are, in general, some of the most driveable 356s Porsche built.
Being the last generation of 356 ever made, they provide the best overall experience Porsche had to offer in the early 1960s, and that has translated into a car that is still very driver-friendly by today's standards.
If you are in the market for a well-sorted, turn-key example of a 356 coupe, this is a must-consider car.
This 356C checks every box for a collector-grade driver and can be driven regularly or shown at PCA events with ease.
Its color combination of Irish green over Fawn is seldom seen and highly desirable.
Don't miss this 356C; it surely will not be on offer for long!.
