The ability to do the work of a SMALL ARMS REPAIRER, without more than normal supervision as demonstrated by:
1) Disassembling, cleaning, and performing maintenance on small arms such as revolvers, automatic pistols, shot guns and rifles; 2) Assembling small arms in accordance with instructions and manually; and 3) Reordering items or equipment (e.g., weapons, ammunition, explosives) for stock replenishment. A wavier shall not be recommended for any individual with a diagnosis of psychosis or bipolar disorder for which anti-psychotic or mood stabilizing (including anti-convulsing) medication is necessary. Must be able to read, legibly write, and speak English. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must obtain firearms qualifications within three months of appointment, and must pass periodic re-qualifications as required by Navy instruction. Must complete a Qualification to Possess Firearms or Ammunition Form, DD 2760. Completion of this form is necessary to obtain information to determine if the employee has been convicted of a crime of domestic violence which would disqualify him/her from shipping, transporting, possessing or receiving either Government-issued or private firearms or ammunition and to determine if reassignment, reclassification, detail or other administrative action is warranted. Must be able to obtain a Commercial drivers license (CDL) with hazardous materials endorsement within the first six months of employment, and continually maintain a valid driver's license. Failure to maintain a valid drivers license may result in termination of employment. Incumbents attend formal, on the job, and in service training which may include:
Weapons Qualification, Firearms Instructor, Range Safety Officer/Line coach, Explosives Safety, Explosive Driver, Motor Vehicle and Rail car Inspector, Ammunition Supply Administration, Range Facility management Support system (RFMSS), Ordinance Inventory System (OIS) and other courses of instruction as directed. This position may be required to provide practical firearms training to Naval Security Force personnel using either the FATS or PRIM firearms training system. OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
