Restaurant Supervisor

Position Summary To manage Food and Beverage service throughout the property.
Essential Functions Manage, mentor, train and direct all front of the house staff during assigned shifts.
Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
Coordinate and enforce program procedures. Ensure adherence to beverage controls per state, company and department policies.
Prepare dining room staff by introducing menus, teaching food presentation techniques, and giving instruction in etiquette and serving techniques.
Schedule patrons by recording dining reservations and arrangements for special parties.
Welcome patrons by exchanging pleasantries, escorting them to dining area, seating them, presenting and introducing menus and announcing waitperson's name.
Maintain dining room ambiance by inspecting and monitoring serving stations, table linens, floors, lighting and music.
Assist restaurant manager in assuring high guest satisfaction. Respond to guest inquiries, complaints in a professional and urgent manner.
Assists in holding periodic meetings with staff to review past and future performance of service, quality, and general information concerning guest and employee relations.
Position Requirements
Minimum Knowledge Requires advanced knowledge of specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field. May require knowledge of policies and procedures, and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience This position requires a minimum of three years job-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Guidance General guidelines and references are used with some discretion. Projects are assigned with latitude for decision making and setting of priorities. Specific problems should be referred to supervisor for clarification of policies and procedures before proceeding.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
