Created in 1984, the Grand Tradition offers the ultimate in amenities to accommodate a wide range of events including weddings and receptions as well as banquets, proms, anniversaries, birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs, concerts, Quinceneras, dinner dances, garden tours and many other special events.
The Grand Tradition Estate consists of thirty acres of lavishly landscaped grounds, and can accommodate guest counts ranging from 50 to 3,000.
The Grand Tradition Estate offers a choice of event venues ranging from the formal elegance of the Beverly Mansion to the relaxing atmosphere of the Arbor Terrace Pavilion and gardens.
Scope of Position Role is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager and Events Manager to ensure that the needs and wants of clients are met for each event.
The Wedding Coordinator will meet with clients prior to event to ensure proper planning, communication and execution; direct staff and vendors; follow event timeline; and pay close attention to all details of each event.
Position will also require providing tours of the estate to potential clients and communicate company services.
Job Description Have a thorough knowledge of the Grand Tradition services and special event packages to answer questions from potential clients Meet with brides/clients to go over details of events such as food and beverage selections, event timing, seating layouts, and other pertinent event details.
Provide leadership during each event through active involvement of set-up and throughout the duration of the event.
Communicate clearly wearing earpiece and radio to event staff.
Conduct rehearsals prior to events.
Provide detailed tours of the estate to potential clients.
Confirm with vendors for weddings through personal contact.
Assist in answering phones, schedule tours, answer questions about estate, check available dates, take payments, and other job tasks as may be assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Prior knowledge of wedding event timeline and flow.
1 - 2 years' experience preferred.
Intermediate knowledge/experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills such as writing, speaking on the phone, email.
Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of superior customer service practices Strong time management skills, detail-oriented Patience with clients and team members.
Good sense of humor.
Positive attitude.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to talk clearly and hear responses.
Must have the ability to receive detailed information through hearing and to make discriminations in sound.
Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, and climb stairs.
Must be able to reach, grasp and finger objects and operate business equipment.
Manual dexterity required for keyboard functions, and repetitive motions.
Minimum visual acuity requirements include reading numbers, printed instructions and video display terminals.
Must be able to exert weights of up to twenty (20) pounds of force on an occasional basis to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
