Carlsbad, CA L3Harris is searching for talented Integration & test engineers to support subsystem and system level testing.
This I&T engineer is responsible for the development of test plans & procedures, test scripts and various documentation for precision mechanical alignments, electro-optical device integration and qualification and production test methods.
In this role, you will be a key part of the engineering team, conducting integration and test activities.
You will also be collaborating with other engineering disciplines, program management, quality assurance and product leads.
Essential Functions:
Understand System Requirements Documents, Interface Control Documents and Software Requirements Specifications Have experience with precision mechanical alignments, Electro-optical device integration Have knowledge/experience with electronic circuits, automated test software (labview), support equipment, manufacturing processes, and the manufacturing test environment Support design, development, and implementation of cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting of components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems Generate test documentation such as test set design review packages (PDR, CDR, MRR), test procedures, work instructions, and test reports.
Build, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
Execute MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STF-461G EMI/EMC qualification testing.
Procure required equipment to support system build and create supporting documentation to include drawing tree, parts list, and interconnect diagrams Design, build, operation, and maintenance of test sets and test equipment.
Qualifications:
BS/BA (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Optical engineering or related field, and 4 years system or software experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Experience with test documentation such as test set design review packages (PDR, CDR, MRR), test procedures, work instructions, and test reports.
Experience with precision mechanical alignments, Electro-optical device integration or with electronic circuits, automated test software (labview).
Current Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Electronics testing background - knowledge of test process flow and execution MIL-STD-810 test experience First Article Qualification testing Familiarity with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer) Ability to automate test procedures and data analysis activities Ability to automate test procedures and data analysis activities Engineering principles, especially verification/validation.
Self-motivated individual able to work independently with minimal supervision Direct experience interfacing with customer personnel and leadership Demonstrated ability and desire to learn from self-training as well as via transfer of experience and technique Demonstrated humble, leadership in small, diverse team, fast paced environment Strong communication ability:
verbal and written using MS Word and PowerPoint Experience communicating and presenting complex technical issues to various audiences (technical counterparts, program management, customer leadership, etc.
) Strong ability to develop and manipulate MS Excel Proficient use of LabView and/or MATLAB for analysis and scripting In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $80,00 - $148,000.
This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
